No Cafe Hayek, Don Boudreaux, escreve sobre que economistas, entretanto já falecidos, mereciam ter recebido o Prémio Nobel. Na sua (fundamentada) opinião os maiores injustiçados foram: Peter Bauer, Frank Knight, Fritz Machlup, Ludwig von Mises, Oskar Morgenstern, Joan Robinson e Julian Simon.
